We at The Bay Horse Inn are a delightful 18th Century Coaching Inn built in mellowed sandstone, nestling by a stone bridge over the River Rede in the Cheviot Hills of Northumberland. We are your go-to place on your journey: to rest, eat, drink well and relax in a warm, friendly, informal atmosphere. We welcome all to our inn whether you are biker looking for a place to stay along your open road adventure or a weary traveller looking for good food and a refreshing drink. We are even dog friendly here so don’t hesitate to bring your canine chums along too.

We have several spacious ensuite rooms available that can accommodate a number of family sizes with single beds, doubles and superior doubles. All rooms come fully furnished and have all the basic amenities for a comfy stay. There is plenty of parking on site for motorcycles and cars, plus our garden stretches down to the River Rede with a grass play area and garden tables.
